The Western Australia Police Pipe Band was formed in 1966, and proudly wears the Napier tartan. The band represents the Western Australia Police throughout Western Australia, Nationally, as well as internationally at numerous engagements.
Band members are comprised of full time employees and guest members, who all play an active role in commitment and dedication to the fulfilment of the band’s responsibilities, and its ongoing aspirations. As the 2012 Australian Pipe Band Champions, the band continues to seek Perth-based guest players, who are of a suitable standard to contribute to varying levels, based on the band’s operational requirements.
The band is also assisted by its Supporters’ Association, which among other elements, encourages a healthy Friends of the Band program, which is run in order to help the band reach its goals on an ongoing basis. As a Friend, you will be able to participate in many activities with the band, and enjoy exclusive benefits and opportunities in return for the support that you provide.

The band’s latest CD is now available and promises not to dissapoint. Recorded live in concert at thwe Quarry Amphitheatre in Perth, the album fetures some cracking new tracks, and some old classics. CD’s are available for $15, excl. of postage and pacakaging.
