Why does WA Police Pipe Band need friends?
Logistical & financial support.
The Band has an operating budget which allows it to fulfill its core functions. The Band is however committed to engaging with the wider community, and will always try and reach more of the public of Western Australia through its ongoing events. However, to facilitate the band’s success in effectively fulfilling its organisational goals, the supporter’s association, through the ‘Friends of the band’ program must raise additional funds – particularly to cover the costs associated with intrastate and interstate travel. In short, additional funding enables the band to travel more widely and to effectively engage with the evermore diverse community of Western Australia even more than has been previously possible. Direct support of the band through subscriptions to the ‘Friends of the Band’ program or through other ‘one-off’ donations is one way of providing support. There are also many opportunities throughout the year, at the band’s many and varied events, to become a volunteer, in order to assist the band in making it’s projects ever more successful year by year..
Membership
Becoming a Friend of the Band ensures a prestigious association with the world renowned WA Police Pipe Band. Members enjoy exclusive benefits and opportunities to meet with band members informally throughout the year as well as seeing and hearing t the band perform on various occasions.

Single Membership:
Choice of CD/Cap upon becoming a new Member, Membership card, discounted merchandise, 2 x half price concert tickets, Annual Calendar, Quarterly newsletter, invites to selected band practices, performances & events.
Blue membership:
Only available to WA Police personnel, who can fill out a pay deduction authority to receive a quarterly newsletter, and discounts on Band merchandise. Click here to download the pay deduction form.
