WA Police Pipe Band Services: Bringing harmony to the community.
Proudly formed in 1966, the WA Police Pipe Band (WAPOL) serves and entertains the Western Australian community, while continuing to perform key functions within the Western Australia Police. Following some years on the frontline, band members now spend half their time in practice, and the other half at the Police Assistance Centre where they provide vital police support as emergency calls are taken.
The band regularly carries out ceremonial duties, and is also approached by hundreds of organisations to perform at community events. In the past three years, the band ran a hugely successful schools program in which they performed for, and talked to over 12000 students each year.
